Hi, I’m Jordan Cazenave.
I’m Jordan, a registered nurse, birth and postpartum doula, and founder of Rooted in Her Birth. My journey into birth work began long before I ever attended my first birth. As a NICU Nurse, I witnessed the incredible resilience of families navigating both the beauty and challenges of welcoming new life. Those moments showed me that birth isn’t just a medical event, it’s a sacred transformative experience that deserves compassion, education, and presence. Rooted in Her Birth was created from that belief. My approach blends clinical knowledge with soulful, faith-grounded care. I walk alongside families as they prepare, birth, and heal- offering emotional, physical, and informational support every step of the way. Whether you’re planning a hospital, birth center, or home birth. I’’ meet you where you are to create a calm and empowering environment that reflects your values and goals. I have a special passion for supporting and advocating Black mothers, whose voices and experiences have too often been overlooked in birth spaces. Through education, advocacy, and continuous presence, I strive to help Black mamas feel seen, respected, and deeply supported. At the same time, Rooted in Her Birth welcomes families of every background and belief- because every parent deserves to feel safe, nurtured, and confident as they bring new life into the world.
Grounded in faith and guided by evidenced-based care, my mission is simple: to hold space for you - body, mind, spirit - so you can birth and transition into parenthood feeling rooted, heard, and whole.
My Approach
I strive to provide calm, compassionate support that helps families feel informed, respected, and deeply care for throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Whether your experience unfolds exactly as planned or takes unexpected turns, my goal for you to feel supported and never alone in the process.
